A special thanks to Matt and Candice Matheny! Their donations to Grace of God Academy have had a tremendous impact on supporting the school, as well as allowing for the rewiring of the computer lab! The Matheny's are also instrumental with Majesty Coffee and Tea, which further supports the school through sales of premium coffee and specialty tea.

The relationships we build with others connect our personal space to a world-wide community of neighbors! These relationships make our life meaningful!  Thank you to the Jason and Rene Oakman Family, who have blessed us and GOGA Guatemala immeasurably! Rene has just produced her own CD of which profits will be shared with GOGA.

February 2016

A special thank you to our PSU college friends who made a generous donation which initiated a drainage system on the school premises to help negotiate the wet season!

To our recurring monthly donors, how could we do this without you? Consistent, on-going donations are our life-blood, and we appreciate your efforts more than you know. Monthly online donations are very low cost to administrate, and that means more money to those who really need it.

In-Kind contributions are so much fun! We have been blessed to have received a huge box of children's new, name-brand sneakers from Terri Losch at Rapid Transit Sports (www.statecollege.com/shop/rapid-transit-sports). These shoes are ear-marked for the children of El Higueral, a rural village among sugar cane fields, where regional rainfall during the wet season causes severe flooding.

August

Dave Miller of Miller Welding and Machine has blessed us again.(www.millerwelding.com) With a large in-kind donation of electrical, steel and trailer components, GOGA will turn metal into cash to help fund the relocation and growth of the Puerto San Jose school.

April

The Moir Family would like to thank Mr. Julian H. Robertson, III of the Robertson Foundation for his generous discretionary gift, which "expresses his measure of regard for Grace of God Academies". The Robertson Foundation (www.robertsonfoundation.org) was established by Julian and Josie Robertson and their family in 1996.

March

A Thank you to Katie Oliver of McQuaide, Blasko, Inc., Attorneys at Law (www.mqblaw.com) for her generous donation to GOGA. Katie Oliver joined McQuaide Blasko in 1995 after graduating summa cum laude from the Dickinson School of Law. Since then, her primary practice area has been civil litigation. We are grateful for Katie's support.

January 2015

Auld Lang Syne is a Scottish phrase that means long time past, and as we reflect upon our first year, and plan for our second, we are reminded of those people who have supported us with a second or subsequent donation to GOGA. Most times, these donations quietly find their way to Central PA Community Foundation and then appear on their report to warm our hearts. Thank you Antle, Dornich and Stickler families!

December

We were thrilled to be selected as a recipient of a grant behest by Charles W. Duncan, III, of the Lillian H. & C.W. Duncan Foundation of Houston, TX, established in 1964.  This private foundation has been supporting cultural and educational organizations for over 51 years.

October

Our heartfelt thank you to John and Leslie Essy for their generous contribution. John is Pastor of Charis Church  in State College, Pennsylvania.  Their contribution to GOGA will go far in growing hope in opportunity for the children of Puerto San Jose. We are compelled to do more by their actions of charity, and specifically appreciate their support and vote of confidence in our endeavors.

September

Special thank yous go to Vincent deQuoy, co-owner of Hydro-Mobile, Montreal, Canada, manufacturer of hydraulic scaffolding, and to Dave K. Miller, President of Miller Welding, Brookville, PA, manufacturer and fabrication of steel products.  In addition to their generous donations, Andy is especially appreciative of the friendship and business association both gentlemen have shared with him.

August

For as long as I can remember, my mother and father have inspired me to give. Their generous nature is extraordinary and refreshing. It has been in part by their example I hope to have taught my children to be generous. I am blessed to have the opportunity to publically thank William and Rose Moir, my parents, for the lessons they have taught our family (6 children, 13 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren) and specifically for their generous contribution this month to GOGA. ~Andy

Additionally, we at GOGA would like to thank Michael Parks, former Pennsylvania State University grad student and Lila Yoga practitioner, currently of Saint Paul, Minnesota, for his recent donation. Michael's unsolicited donation to GOGA was a wonderful surprise!  Your karmic act of selflessness will inevitably ripen into bountifulness! Namaste. ~Stacy

July

We have just started our campaign to raise $400,000 USD for the initial capital to build and furnish the orphanage. Our first donor to the campaign, who has already given TWICE, is Dave Greenland, from Aaronsburg, Pennsylvania. We know Dave through his company, Cornerstone Refrigeration, which maintains our home HVAC system.  His generosity is beyond words and we can't thank him enough for kickstarting this project. Dave, not only have you touched our hearts, but your contribution means a world of difference to the little ones of Guatemala. From them, and from us, once again, THANK YOU!

June

This month, we are honored to announce a collaboration with the local municipality of San José. Through their incredible generosity, we have received a parcel of 4 acres of land to begin to develop our second school and orphanage. We now begin the research, due diligence, and development of a children's safe haven and home.

May

This month, we feature Bob Dornich, Preisdent of Reclamere, for his generous donation of 25 computers and printers to the GOGA ESL school in Puerto San Jose. These computers are an essential component to the ESL curriculum and allow for adult computer training classes as well. We are elated to have Bob as a friend and to have his support of our work. Thank you!

April

We are so thankful to have John, Attily, and Madelyn Spalvins as supporters of GOGA. This month, the three traveled to Puerto San José to take pictures and videos of our progress for our marketing campaign. John Spalvins, President of Wetubers, will be assisting us with our social media marketing. Thank you so much, John and daughters!
